  If it were possible to give this petty bunch of thieves a zero rating, I would certainly do so!
  
  Med Care Administrators is the billing office for my now-former primary care doctor, Dr. Patil at Primecare Medical in Central Square NY. Her office is located at the Central Square NY Health Center. Med Care is in Marcy.
  
  Last year I had to give up my health insurance through the Federal employees retirement because they charged way too much. All I have is Medicare Part A. Not part B, C, D or whatever.
  
  I went into panic mode, thinking I would have to give up seeing doctors, but someone at Dr. Patil's office told me they had a sliding scale arrangement. I gladly filled out the application and was thrilled to think that I wouldn't be forced to give up seeing doctors.
  
  I was wrong.
  
  My first post-insurance appointment was in February 2016. I paid $20 towards my bill, thinking that, because of the income/discount chart on the application, I wouldn't be responsible for more than 20 percent of the bill.
  
  Wrong again!
  
  I got a bill for the remaining balance, which - hold on now - is $85! Seriously?
  
  I complained to Med Care and no one gave a hoot about the hardship their so-called discount is causing me. Not only can I NOT afford to pay over $100 for each visit with Dr. Patil, I was forced to cancel my appointment on 3/9/16 and am now looking for another doctor.
  
  Oswego County NY has few physicians, and it's even harder to find one who will take new patients, and self-pay ones at that!
  
  I have diabetes that is going out of control even with my medication. I have a history of other health problems including under active thyroid disease and cancer. Answer me this: how long do you think I will last without being able to see another doctor? Not long!
  
  Dr. Patil is a good doctor and I will miss being able to go to her office. But her billing department is full of crooks. If Oswego Hospital approved my financial aid form and gave me a huge discount on recent lab work, then this shady outfit can do likewise. Especially since it is affiliated with Oswego Hospital.
  
  Avoid Med Care Administrators like the plague! And avoid Primecare Medical if you don't have insurance. Brenda in Primecare's office had the nerve to claim their self-pay discount is generous but that's not true. My total bill was $170 and they want me to pay a total of $105? That is NOT at all generous for someone on a fixed income who is self-pay AND trying to get into a couple of specialists too!
  
  UNFAIR!!
  
  Avoid these people if you want to avoid heartache and hardships. If you don't mind suffering, then by all means, let them walk all over you. Good luck!
